Adventure Park Geelong, the family waterpark in Victoria, Australia, is to open for the summer season with new rides and facilities.

The extended waterpark will boast two new rides, nine new cabanas, a new tube conveyor for the Tsunami and Tornado water slides, and new family changing facilities.

Adventure Park is opening for the summer season on November 27.

Speaking about the extended facilities and attractions, Leanne Salmon, managing director at the park, said: “We know how much our guests have wanted a tube conveyor and we’re excited to have completed this development in our big waterslide precinct that’s been in planning for the past couple of years.”

The new rides include classic family Tea Cups, which spins riders round in kaleidoscope tea cups, and a unique Air Balloons ride, which soars riders 18m into the air, providing a fantastic view of the waterpark.

The waterpark has also expanded its Christmas Festival of Lights with an additional 700,000 lights over an extended lights trail. Also new to the festival is the Lunar Lanterns Exhibit, boasting oriental lanterns, a 20m long dragon and animals from the lunar zodiac.
