UK rail train, kiddie rides and ride gate systems group Garmendale Engineering has relocated to new, more spacious headquarters, as the company continues to increase its global client base.

Over recent months, Garmendale secured several key UK contracts, including the full redesign and build of the iconic Sea Monster roller coaster at Crealy Great Adventure Park; the installation of the ‘beast’ centrepiece at Chessington World of Adventure’s new Wild Asia project; and supplying the ride gates for Legoland Windsor’s new Huss pirate ship.

Although the new headquarters are located in the same Ilkeston industrial park, Garmendale said the new 1,000sq.m workshop will give a greater flexibility in meeting clients’ briefs. The new 300sq.m office area is spread over two floors, with design, project management, IT and finance departments on the lower floor and a management suite and boardroom on the first floor.

"It has been a busy 12 months for Garmendale," the company said. "This additional space has allowed us to split the original workshop building into a general fabrication area and separate electrical department."
