Alterface Projects, the Belgium-based interactive attractions group, has been selected by Hero Ventures to help create The Marvel Experience.

Housed in a 'travelling' dome complex, the Marvel Experience is a first-person adventure in which audiences step into the Marvel Universe.

Alterface is currently creating an original 3D-animated interactive gaming cinema, which will allow fans to be a part of the action.

"We're developing the next generation of gaming cinema and it's going to enable anyone to feel like a super hero like Spider-Man or Captain America," said Alterface Projects' US partner, Tom Gass.

The $30m attraction, which is being developed by Hero Ventures and Marvel Entertainment, will feature dozens of Marvel's iconic Super Heroes.

Intended for a multi-generational audience, The Marvel Experience will leverage state-of-the-art interactive and multimedia technology from the leading providers in the industry.

"Hero Ventures is developing a themed entertainment concept that we expect will be a transformative, travelling destination that will deliver to fans and families an exciting, groundbreaking and unique experience," said Marvel Entertainment's vice president of business development, Sean Haran.
