Alton Towers is planning on reopening in March. The Staffordshire theme park is currently closed for the winter. However, due to the Covid-19 crisis, all theme parks in the UK are currently having to keep their hotels, spas, golf courses and other facilities that may typically be open over the winter season closed.

Despite uncertainty as to when the third national lockdown may end, Alton Towers is hopeful it will open its door to guests in March.

Other theme parks and attraction sites across the UK are also planning for an early spring reopen. Thorpe Park in Surrey plans to reopen on March 27, subject to government guidance at the time. Similarly, Paulton’s Park in Hampshire is set to reopen on March 19, dependent on government advice.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach was due to reopen on February 6 but has had to postpone reopening due to the ongoing lockdown restrictions.
