Simworx, the UK specialist supplier of media-based dynamic simulation attractions, has announced that it is to supply an Immersive Tunnel attraction to a major tourist venue in Malaysia.

The new installation, due for completion in November 2015, will be carried out at Panorama Langkawi, a visitor attraction which currently offers a variety of different experiences to guests, including a SkyCab cable car ride, SkyBridge and SkyTrail.

The Immersive Tunnel will be a first for Malaysia and follows on from another contract secured in the Asia region by Simworx to install a similar attraction Immersive Tunnel at a family entertainment centre in Wei Hai, China.

The attraction at Panorama Langkawi will feature a 30-seat, tracked tram and a brand new ride film, Dinosaur Island, produced exclusively for Simworx's 30-seat version of the ride, which is also available with 60, 90 and 120 seats.

The Immersive Tunnel is a dynamic, immersive experience for all ages. Visitors enter the attraction building and take their seats on a jeep styled simulator, which after a short journey along a track into the main show area takes them on a fun-filled adventure which at Panorama Langkawi will be dinosaur themed.

The tram unit sits on a highly dynamic, 3DOF motion base and with physical platform drops, dynamic lighting, surround sound and 3D film projection to the front and both sides of the tram, a truly realistic experience is ensured.

Commenting on the installation, Simworx business development manager Edward Pawley said: "The ride will feature a brand new film produced exclusively for the 30-seat version of the attraction which will create a fun, immersive experience that will appeal to a very wide age group, from youngsters to adults.

"We have enjoyed great success with the Immersive Tunnel since introducing it around 18 months ago and this latest example will be a superb addition to the attractions and facilities on offer at Panorama Langkawi."
