CAP.Co, specialists in playground design, has developed a new children’s adventure play area at Raby Castle in County Durham.

The project is part of the local County Durham community’s aim to attract new visitors to the area and create outstanding recreation.

CAP.Co has exclusively designed the playground. It is the latest in a number of recent installations designed by the playground specialists.

The play area features a three-storey play tower, high level walkways, tunnels and climbing walls, as well as several slides and play trails.

It also comprises of an area for toddlers with mini turrets and lookout decks, which is located next to the castle’s new split-level café.

Simon Egan, managing director of CAP.Co, commented: “We’re thrilled to be working on bringing this new installation to life, which was designed in collaboration with the wider team at Raby over the last two years.

“This carefully considered, new addition to Raby Castle, has been inspired by the historical architectural elements within the castle such as The Neville Gateway, but also the many stories associated with the estate, particularly the Rising of The North.”
