Set to launch in September, CARO is spectacular live show planned for the leading Dutch theme park Efteling. It has been created by famous Dutch actor and director Stanley Burleson and is inspired by the park’s 100-year-old steam carousel.

‘Stoomcarrousel’ – CARO will be performed inside Efteling’s magnificent on-site theatre and feature stunning visuals, dancers, music and acrobats. There will also be interactive roles for children.

There will, however, be very little language used in the show, making it suitable for international guests as Efteling continues its strategy to boost the number of visitors from outside the Netherlands. Audiences of all nationalities will be able to recognise and relate to the show’s themes, which will explore everyday life.

“Efteling is famous for offering guests wonderful family theatre productions and I am delighted to have been chosen to direct the new CARO show,” says Burleson, who is known for his work on the Dutch version of The Three Musketeers musical.

Tickets to see CARO are priced €25 each, or for a heavily discounted price to those staying overnight in the park.
