Compagnie des Alpes, operators of ski resorts and leisure sites across Europe, has released its figures for the fiscal year 2020/21.

The figures provide confirmation of a robust recovery in leisure park activity in the fourth quarter of the year.

Due to the health crisis, the financial year 2020/21, ending on September 30, 2021, was marked by long periods of closure. According to Compagnie des Alpes, it was also marked by a dynamic recovery in activity for leisure parks over the summer season.

During this period, sales for leisure parks increased significantly compared with the previous year. Adjusted for the impact of the closure of the company’s two sites in Belgium, following the severe flooding, the figures showed growth compared to the fourth quarter of 2018/19.

Consolidated sales for Compagnie des Alpes Q4 of the financial year 2020.21 totalled 171.8m euros. This compared to 132.2m euros for the same period in 2019/20. The 30 per cent increase was due, according to the operators, to a “very good performance” of leisure parks.
