Compagnie des Alpes is preparing for the reopening of all its leisure sites by July 1. The reopening of its parks has been staggered, and certain sites have already opened, such as Walibi Holland, which opened its doors to the public on May 25. Several days later, Familypark in Austria welcomed visitors.

Sunday June 16 saw Futuroscope and Chaplin’s World in Switzerland reopen, followed by Parc Astérix on June 15. Grévin Paris welcomed guests again on 18 June, and Walibi Rhône-Alpes on June 20. France Miniature is opening again on June 26.

Compagnie des Alpes sites in Belgium, including Walabi Belgium and Aqualibi, Bellewarede and the Aquapark, are reopening on July 1.

To help ensure the safe reopening of parks, Compagnie des Alpes has been working with professional bodies within the sector to implement comprehensive health and safety procedures.

Dominique Marcel, chairman and chief executive officer of Compagnie des Alpes, commented on the reopening of the parks: “Keenly aware of our responsibilities, we are delighted to see our sites gradually re-open. We have been extremely active inside and outside the Group to make this happen, and I want to thank everyone who has worked hard to ensure that reopenings run as smoothly as possible. We are now ready to welcome the public and we hope that visitors will soon be keen and excited to come enjoy our sites.

“The tireless efforts made by Compagnie des Alpes in the last few years to make its sites more appealing, to introduce digital tools and to further improve customer satisfaction are now major assets that will help us to rebound quickly,” Marcel continued.
