Miral, the leader developer of experiences in Abu Dhabi, has announced construction of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is more than 40 per cent complete.

The site is hailed as a “landmark project” for tourism in the UAE and bringing the next generation of marine life theme parks to Yas Island. The resort will feature the first marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return centre in the UAE. The centre will provide world-class facilities to support conversation efforts regionally and globally.

The 183,000 sq. mt. site is built on multiple levels. It will be home to purpose-built habitats and ecosystems housing diverse species together, thereby mimicking the wild.

The marine life theme park will offer visitors immersive experiences, designed to heighten appreciation and knowledge of marine life.

Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of Miral, commented: “This is yet another great new addition to Yas Island’s immersive attractions and experiences. It will help further position the island as a top global destination, and contribute to the growth of Abu Dhabi’s tourism vision.

“We are proud to have partnered with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment on this incredible project, which brings more than 55 years of expertise in marine conservation and world class marine animal care to Yas Island,” Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak continued.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi is due to be completed by the end of 2022.
