Creek-Surfing Systems of Hungary has developed a new energy saving water activity that offers operators a solution to the seasonality problems of skiing and snowboarding.

The concept of Creek-Surfing is based on a micro-terraced system, whereby several plastic bands are placed horizontally on a base plate, forming micro-terraces side by side.

Water is first pumped up to the top of the ‘creek’, which then fills up the micro-terraces, forming micro-basins. This small amount of water enables visitors to brake and change direction, just like on a snow-covered downhill course.

"We are attending at the EAS where we would like to build connections with business partners in the field of waterparks, amusement parks, theme parks," said Cree-Surfing managing director Valeria Lia Varga.
