The country’s Al Waqt newspaper reported Saudi billionaire Prince Al Waleed bin Talal  – the world’s eighth richest man, who owns a 10 per cent stake in Disneyland Paris operator Euro Disney – as being ‘in negotiations’ to build a US$8bn Disney park.

Disney is known to be earmarking its next major park in China, probably in Shanghai, and will concentrate its efforts on that over the next few years.

Similar claims that the company was investigating potential sites in India and Korea have so far proved unreliable.
