Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, is reorganising the team that leads its transportation operations, following three recent incidents involving buses and the park’s monorail.

The park has named the former head of transportation maintenance Jim Vendur as new vice-president of operations. Another vice-president position has been created under Vendur to focus solely on transportation.

Disney said the shakeup of the leadership of its transportation department is not related to the fatal monorail crash in July.
