Disney’s Hollywood Studios marked its 30th anniversary in traditional flamboyant style on May 1, 2019, with the debuting of its new night-time projection show.

Named the ‘Wonderful World of Animation’, Disney’s new projection show takes guests on a journey through 90 years of Disney and Pixar animated films. The show features rarely seen Disney characters, as well as characters from the past, classic stories and new favourites.

Alongside the night-time show debut was the launch of a new collection of merchandise. Visitors to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 1st also received a special 30th anniversary poster, map and button.

To mark Hollywood Studio’s 30th anniversary, a special parade took place on Hollywood Boulevard. The parade was led by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who were followed by Woody and Buzz Lightyear, Indiana Jones, Belle and the Beast, and many other Disney favourites.

The event also showcased the park’s anticipated new logo and a whole host of new merchandise including tumblers, MagicBands, ornaments, apparel and pins.

The ‘Wonderful World of Animation’ is not the only spectacular new show to be featured at the park this year, as Disney World has unveiled plans to bring two new night-time entertainment shows to the venue in 2019.
