DP Leisure, operator of leading children's entertainment centre brand 360 Play, has announced further details of its newest location which is scheduled to open this autumn in Basildon, UK.

The latest 360 Play location will be the company's fourth – and largest – site, joining successful centres in Milton Keynes, Stevenage and Leicester.

The 28,000sq.ft, two-floor venue will feature a host of attractions and facilities aimed at children aged two to 12 and their families.

As well as utilising local contractors for much of the building work, leisure industry suppliers have also been contracted to provide the central play frame and other attractions.

The play structure is once again from the Soft Brick Company – the third time it has provided such a structure for a 360 Play location – and stretches to 10m in height. It will wrap around a mezzanine floor and includes a slide.

The play frame also incorporates distinctive themes at each level, including an Olympic zone and an Urban zone, along with a host of different elements, from an assault course, ball zone, twin lane slide and transparent decks to look down over the dodgem car track, to more familiar features such as rope climbs, ball pools, bridges, wave decks and portholes.

The Basildon venue will additionally include a carousel, which like the dodgem cars comes from IE Park/SOLI Bumper Cars, along with specially designed climbing walls, utilising belay and timing equipment from Innovative Leisure.

"It's been a pleasure to again work with Soft Brick on the central play structure, and other elements, for our Basildon venue," said 360 Play business development manager Anne Basketfield.

"The play frame is obviously one of the most important elements of the centre so it's vital to get the design, manufacture and installation of this just right. They are a great team to work with and very accommodating.
