Attendance for the quarter increased 2.7 per cent over the corresponding period the previous year, while ride merchandise helped boost in-park spending by 5.8 per cent.

"Dreamworld revenues in January 2008 totalled A$10.6m against $10.7m achieved in January 2007. The result was considered to be exceptional given that wet weather, which impacts attendance levels, was experienced on 10 days or 32 per cent of the January period," Shaw said.

Whitewater World, Dreamworld’s co-located waterpark, continued to exceed expectations, Shaw added.
