Efteling Theme Park’s much-loved Carnaval Festival ride has reopened after a three-month renovation period, including the updating of the attraction’s technology, theming and lighting.

Carnaval Festival has been a popular indoor ride at the South Holland theme park for 35 years.

The attraction takes guests on a journey around the world, passing different scenes that celebrate international cultures.

Accompanying the action is earwig music composed by Dutch composers Toon Hermans and Ruud Bos.

Known locally as the ‘Red Noses Show’, the Carnaval Festival is a family-friendly dark ride that children of all ages enjoy. The attraction appeals to cross generations with scenes that are recognisable to all guests.

With the installation of new LED lighting, the upgraded dark ride is expected to be sustainable for the next ten years and will reduce Efteling’s total carbon footprint by 2%.

With fresh paintwork and the remodelling of around 100 of the 275 dolls that appear in the ride’s different scenes, the new-look Carnival Festival is more attractive than ever.
