After welcoming more than 5.5 million visitors through its gates in 2015, Europa-Park, the largest theme park in Germany, is paving the way for further expansion.

This year, the park is pushing ahead with the development of the new Wasser-Erlebnis-Resort, which includes a waterpark and a new hotel, while investments in new attractions and infrastructure projects are also underway.

To meet these operational challenges, Europa-Park has appointed Michael and Thomas Mack to join the board of directors.

“In doing so, we are ensuring that the Mack family’s more than 235-year-old business will continue developing successfully,” Europa-Park owners Roland and Jürgen Mack said in a joint statement.

As members of the Mack family’s eighth generation, Michael and Thomas Mack have already been actively involved in managing Europa-Park for many years.

Michael Mack is responsible for construction management, park operations, marketing and the company’s in-house design department, Mack Solutions.

Thomas Mack leads the entertainment department, along with the theme park and hotel food services and the logistics department.
