Designed to keep guests entertained with late-night lights, storytelling and music, the Walt Disney Resort near Orlando, Florida is to unveil three new entertainment shows to be held after dusk.

The new night-time shows from the Disney Parks Live Entertainment team are to include a projection and laser show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios known as the ‘Wonderful World of Animation’, the ‘Awakenings: Lion King’ projection show, which will take place on the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, ‘Epcot Forever’ at Epcot and a new Illuminations night-time spectacular at Epcot.

Each year, Disney World holds around 2,000 spectacular entertainment shows after dark, with thousands of fireworks lighting up the night sky.

Shawn Slater of Disney Parks Live Entertainment, said:

“Now more than ever, there is so much live entertainment happening all over Walt Disney World. At Walt Disney World, we produce more live entertainment than Disney does anywhere else in the world. There is a lot going on.”

Disney World’s ‘Wonderful World of Animation’ night-time projection show is to debut on May 1, 2019 to coincide with Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s theme park’s 30th anniversary.

The projection show will feature start-of-the-art technology to light up moving images in the night sky, alongside enthralling lasers, special effects and fireworks.

“It will be a catalogue looking through the wonderful feature animation from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios,” said Ray Coble of Disney Parks Live Entertainment.
