Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas has arrived at Dollywood theme park, providing visitors with a wealth of festive fun.

More than five million Christmas lights, elaborately decorated Christmas trees and a new holiday fireworks show are bringing plenty of sparkle to the festive event.

One experience that is new to this year’s event is the Merry & Bright! Firework display that will light up the night sky with colour alongside the blasting out of contemporary holiday songs.

Other entertainment includes the return of ‘Christmas in the Smokies’, a family stage show put on at the park’s Celebrity Theatre.

A new show will also take centre stage, known as ‘Heart of the Holidays.’ The show will feature several members of Dolly’s family with classic Dolly songs, as well as songs from the singer’s new Christmas album.

Children have the chance to visit Santa inside Santa’s cabin, where little ones will discover if their name is on Santa’s naughty or nice list.

Talking about what Smoky Mountain Christmas means to Dollywood, Dolly Parton said: “Some Christmases are more memorable than others, and I think this year is certainly one we won’t forget.

“I want families to feel the warmth and comfort of all the great things they remember about Dollywood at Christmas, with a few new experiences that will become the memories they share years from now. In twenty years, when someone says, ‘Do you remember 2020?,’ of course they’ll think about how strange this year has been, but I also hope they’ll stop and say, ‘Yes, but remember that special time we had at Dollywood during Christmas that year,’” Dolly added.

Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas is running at the Tennessee theme park from November 7, 2020 until January 3, 2021.
