China Leisure Development Co (CLDC) have teamed up with ViacomCBS to create a Nickelodeon-themed Family Entertainment Centre (FEC) in Shenzhen, China.

JRC, specialists in attraction design, were also called in to work on the design and development of the new FEC.

The 16,000 square foot FEC features four attraction zones. One is themed on SpongeBob SquarePants, another on PAW Patrol, one of Dora the Explorer and the final zone is based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The different worlds invite young guests to join in immersive play alongside their favourite characters.

Visitors can also enjoy Nickelodeon branded retail and dine in a sit-down play café.

Colin Cronin, senior project director at JRA, commented: “JRA was honoured to work with China Leisure and Nickelodeon on the design and development of Nickelodeon’s first FEC in China.

“It was a pleasure helping to bring SpongeBob, Dora, Donatello, Marshall, and their friends to life, and we hope the attraction delights visitors from Shenzhen and beyond.”
