Free fly’ coaster lands in Swedish park
Theme park ride developer S&S Worldwide has unveiled the first of a new range of longitudinally spinning roller coasters with the launch of Tranan at Skara Sommarland in southern Sweden.
Riders on the new ‘free fly’ coaster concept are suspended from the outside edges of the ride, which glides around the track giving them a feeling of flying.
"Tranan has a unique air suspension system that gives the passengers a beautifully smooth feeling of flight," said S&S.
"Coaster enthusiasts are raving about this coaster, and they have recognised the same world-class engineering that brought the industry the world’s fastest coaster and the magnificent X2."
