The Funplex family entertainment centre in East Hanover, New Jersey, has cut the ribbon on a new 130,000sq.ft waterpark.

The centre's new attraction will be added to the venue's Splashplex water playground attraction.

Included in the expansion are two 45ft speed slides, a twisting lazy river and a waterfall pool.

Additional amenities include expansive changing rooms, new restroom facilities and food service area.

The Funplex parking lot has been expanded to accommodate the expected increase in visitors, said Randall Lahn, spokesman for the Lahn family, owners and operators of the venue.

"The water attractions are the absolute top-of-the line and most innovative attractions available for water attractions today," he stated.

All rides were manufactured by Canada-based WhiteWater West.
