After 20 months of intensive work, Gardaland, the 40-year-old theme park in north-eastern Italy, has cut the ribbon on Adventure Hotel.

According to the park’s operator, the 100-room hotel is the first themed accommodation in Italy, featuring a submarine entrance, library-style reception area and four room styles: Jungle, Arabian, Wild West and Arctic.

“We want to become a tourist amusement destination at European level,” said Gardaland’s general manager, Aldo Maria Vigevani.

In addition to Adventure Hotel, the 2016 season has witnessed the introduction of Kung Fu Panda Academy at the Italian amusement park.

Developed in partnership with DreamWorks Animation, the 5,000sq.m area hosts two new attractions for children aged between eight and 10: Kung Fu Panda Master family rollercoaster and Mr Ping’s Noodle Surprise cups ride.
