Genting Malaysia, one of Malysia’s leading property development groups, is preparing for the opening of Genting Skyworlds before the end of the year.

Genting SkyWorlds is an indoor theme park, located at the luxury holiday destination, Resorts World Genting.

In June this year, the company announced the launch of the theme park would be delayed until December. In November, Genting Malaysia began to make technical rehearsals at the new attractions site.

Genting Malaysia has invested over $800m in the Genting SkyWorlds project. The destination will extend over 26 acres. It will feature nine themed lands, including Ice Age, Epic, Rio, Nights at the Museum, Robots, Planet of the Apes and Independence Day.

The lands will be focused on a range of original intellectual property (IP) and different brands from 20th century studios. The different lands will collectively boast 26 rides and attractions, including everything from water rides to rollercoasters.

A date of the official opening has not yet been confirmed.
