For the past 20 years P&P Projects has been developing turnkey theming projects for the entire leisure industry, spanning theme parks, museums, visitor centres, FECs, zoos and swimming pools.

The Dutch group was recently awarded an exclusive contract to realise the themed experience at RingWerk park, being responsible for the total theming production of the dark rides, a large theatre, race simulators, pit boxes and car replicas.

"We were responsible for the scenic package, which included overall scenic reproductions; simulator decorations; mechanical constructions such as truck units, cabins and reproductions of F1 cars; team truck dark ride decorations; and effect lights and platforms," van Stratum said.

Despite the strains of the economic downturn, which are affecting all aspects of the leisure attractions industry, P&P continues to secure new contracts, with several new projects earmarked for completion by next Easter.

"We are now working on several projects such as decorations for a big indoor/outdoor water complex in Germany and various other projects for theme parks worldwide," added van Stratum. "Unfortunately, we cannot tell anything more yet – but it seems we are going to be busy."
