The new owner of the former Renaissance Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has launched a multi-million-dollar transformation of the property.

Wisconsin-based Great Wolf Resorts, an operator and developer of waterparks across the US, has updated its timetable for the family-style resort in Colorado, with the group now saying the complex will be open in November.

After purchasing the resort complex for $18m, Great Wolf said it would spend an additional $90m to refurbish the hotel and build a 65,000sq.ft waterpark. Other amenities will include an arcade, miniature golf course, a mini bowling alley, a rope climbing attraction and a spa.
