Gulliver’s World in Warrington has appointed a new resort director to oversee the theme park operations.

Craig Clews is stepping up as the site’s resort director. Clews comes from Blackpool Pleasure Beach, where he was assistant operations director. Prior to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Clews had worked at Crealy Theme Park and Resort in Devon, and as a Thomson Holiday rep at international resorts.

As resort director for Gulliver’s World, Clews will manage different aspects of business operations at the Cheshire theme park. He will oversee ride engineering and hospitality and management teams.

The appointment of a new position is part of the theme park’s drive to fill a number of roles and strengthen its leadership team.

Talking about taking on the new role, Craig Clews said: “Gulliver’s World in Warrington was my very first day out with my family that I can remember, so coming back 30 years later brings back great memories.

“I’ve walked around the park alone recently pinching myself because I can’t believe I’m here. It’s exciting to be working with a passionate family and the team here at the park have made me feel welcome.

“My focus will be on setting the highest standards of customer service to help every guest make magical memories. I’m excited to be part of this journey and to support the leadership team as we continue to grow the business. We already have a fantastic team in place at Gulliver’s World who are really customer focussed and I’m really looking forward to working with them,” he added.
