Hersheypark, the 120-acre amusement park in Pennsylvania, has unveiled plans for two new family thrill attractions for The Boardwalk At Hersheypark waterpark – the Breakers Edge water coaster and Whitecap Racer.
Breakers Edge will be the world’s first HydroMagnetic water coaster with flying saucer turns, while Whitecap Racer will be the world’s longest mat racer.
The new attractions, which will be located between the Shoreline Sprayground attractions and the Intercoastal Watertway lazy river, are slated to debut for Memorial Day weekend next year.
Discussing the addition of the park’s 14th coaster and world’s longest mat ride, Hersheypark general manager Kevin Stumpf said: “Our guests always ask for coasters, water and family experiences – these attractions will deliver on all three.”
Both attractions are being manufactured by ProSlide Technology of Canada.
