Bollywood Parks Dubai, part of the soon-to-open Dubai Parks and Resorts development, will feature the very latest in immersive attractions with a revolutionary new motion simulation experience set to open in 2016.

Designed and delivered by turnkey manufacturer and immersive specialist Holovis Attractions, this unique ride takes a generic immersive tunnel to a whole new level.

Opening on November 15, Bollywood Parks Dubai will be the world’s first theme park dedicated to the Indian film industry, providing a physical location for fans from across the globe to visit and celebrate the biggest names of Indian cinema and its highly vibrant and colourful canvas.

This ride designed by Holovis is based on the Excel Entertainment hit, Don, starring Shahrukh Khan. Scenes from this Bollywood blockbuster have been recreated to give visitors the ‘ride’ of their life.

Based on a thrilling chase through the streets of Dubai, visitors will be immersed in the action while trying to keep up with the elusive mafia boss, Don.

This latest turnkey Holovis attraction differs from existing immersive simulators from a single flat or curved 3D screen to next generation 4D simulators. These 4D simulators are designed around two specialist 30-seat motion systems where the initial physical themed world is merged seamlessly into the virtual world, creating a true form of immersive storytelling.

Specialist 3D media is then delivered on enormous concave screens completely enveloping the ride vehicles through the use of a highly complex and unique projection design.

The experience is further enhanced with Holovis HiFiniti spatial audio, multiple SFX systems and motion control technology that perfectly synchronises with the media ensuring the guests believe they are at the centre of this fantastic journey.

Holovis CEO, Stuart Hetherington, said: “We have taken our existing ride solutions and developed them further to deliver one of the most realistic, virtual storytelling experiences.

“This ultimate level of immersion creates a thrilling and class-defining attraction, seen for the first time only at the world’s first Bollywood inspired theme park.”
