June 18 saw Hong Kong Disneyland officially reopen, with a number of advanced health and safety measures in place.

Prior to the theme park’s reopening, a special celebration took place, hosted by Stephanie Young, managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The event took place on Main Street, U.S.A., overlooking the park’s iconic castle.

Disney’s much-loved characters including Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy joined in the celebrations to mark the official reopening of the theme park. Visitors entered the park to Stephanie Young and Melody Leung, ambassador of the resort, welcoming them through the gates.

“I am grateful for the support of the incredible Hong Kong community, commitment of medical staff and dedication of our cast members who managed through this challenging time,” Stephanie Young commented.

“The health and safety of our guests and cast members continues to be at the forefront of our minds, and our cast members have been working tirelessly to put all the necessary measures in place for guests to enjoy a magical visit,” Young added.
