IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has hired Kelly Repass as director of global research.

The appointment strengthens the IAAPA’s commitment to providing crucial research and industry analysis to members worldwide.

Kelly Repass has more than 20 years’ experience in research on the tourism industry. Her most recent role was consumer insights manager at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. Prior to that, Repass worked as manager of market research and consumer insights at Celebrity Cruises. She has also held positions in research at SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, as well as Visit Orlando.

As director of global research, Repass will develop a new strategy for the IAAPA research program and oversee its implementation and execution.

Josh Powers, executive vice president and chief financial officer at IAAPA, commented on the appointment: “Kelly comes to IAAPA with extensive travel and tourism experience leading consumer and industry research programs, understanding data, and presenting results in a comprehensive, and useful manner.

“She will lead IAAPA’s efforts to conduct, analyze, and share market research to address the trends and opportunities that will shape the future of the attractions industry,” Powers added.
