IAAPA has announced it is cancelling IAAPA Expo Europe 2020 because of the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

The Expo was due to take place from September 21 to 24 at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London. IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has said it will host the IAAPA Expo Europe in Barcelona, Spain in 2021. The association is working with the ExCeL Exhibition Centre to plan a future date for the London event.

Hal McEvoy, president and CEO of IAAPA, commented on the decision to cancel IAAPA Expo Europe 2020: “As the world works through the unprecedented impacts of COVID-19, IAAPA’s top priority continues to be the health, well-being, and safety of our global members and team.

“After careful review, and with significant input from members, exhibitors, and our team, the IAAPA Board of Directors decided to cancel IAAPA Expo Europe 2020. We look forward to safely connecting our members in Europe when the time is right.

“We thank IAAPA Expo Europe exhibitors for their patience and understanding as we worked through this process and reached this decision. IAAPA remains committed to connecting, serving, and assisting members from around the world during this challenging time,” McEvoy continued.

IAAPA continues to provide resources, support, and information to help members navigate the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic has created within the attractions industry.
