The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions spent $190,000 in the second quarter of 2010 lobbying the US federal government on amusement park ride safety and other issues, according to reports.

A disclosure report cited by the Associated Press this week revealed the figure, which purportedly matches what the company spent in the year-ago period and in the first quarter.

During the second quarter of 2010, IAAPA also lobbied Congress on US legislation involving health care, according to the AP.
