Official figures released this week by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions indicate a modest increase in attendance at the IAAPA Attractions Expo, which took place in Orlando, Florida, on November 15-19.

The event attracted 14,800 buyers, up 200 on the 2009 event. Exhibitors numbered 1,140 compared to 1,074 last year. Total attendance for this year’s show reached 25,000, up from 23,800 at the 2009 IAAPA show in Las Vegas.

"The show’s been great for us," said Tara Casey of Canada-based ProSlide Technology. "Orlando makes people happy. We put in a little extra money and went for a bigger booth this year, and we’re so happy we did it."
