Silverwood Theme Park Unveils ‘Emerald Forest’ with Longest Dueling Water Coaster in the U.S.

Idaho’s Silverwood Theme Park has officially opened its new ‘Emerald Forest’ water park expansion, highlighted by the debut of the Eagle Hunt, the first dueling water coaster in the west and the longest in the United States. Measuring an impressive 925 feet, Eagle Hunt offers a thrilling race against the clock as riders navigate through three high-speed flyingSAUCERs, tackle four hills, and dive through the innovative ProSlide Shadow Effect before splashing down at the finish.

A Unique Racing Experience

Eagle Hunt features two lanes, enabling guests to race against friends in a unique time trial setup. Riders can choose their “prey” and race down the slide like an eagle in pursuit. If you reach the bottom within the specified time, you “catch” your prey. If not, the prey escapes. This new attraction brings an exciting, competitive edge to the Pacific Northwest’s water park offerings.

Additional Water Park Attractions

In addition to Eagle Hunt, the new Salmon Run area, inspired by Idaho’s lake fish, features eight waterslides for kids, ranging from 36 to 82 feet long.

Industry Context

Earlier this year, Rapids Waterpark in West Palm Beach, Florida, launched Mega Mayhem, the state’s only dueling water coaster. This ride features two flumes spanning more than 1,600 feet in length, highlighting the growing trend of dueling water coasters across the nation.
