British Airways is set to be the airline partner for KidZania London, the UK's first educational entertainment experience, which is due to start inspiring families at Westfield London in 2015.

The partnership was cemented on October 5 in a landmark moment in the construction, when the body of a British Airways branded aircraft was lifted into the site.

At over 18m long and weighing 16 tonnes, the plane's installation took approximately 48 hours from start to finish.

The introduction of the body of an A319 aircraft may seem outlandish but KidZania is founded on the premise of creating realistic role-plays, which are experienced in real-world settings for kids aged from four to fourteen.

Abigail Comber, British Airways' head of marketing, said: "KidZania is an experience we simply had to be part of, this weekend's events are the first step of what will be an incredible opportunity to bring children's imagination and dreams to life."
