Wolf Legend, the new drop and twist tower attraction at Gardaland, has opened to howling success.
Gardaland promises riders a “legendary attraction for thrill-seeking families and daredevils of all ages!”
The drop and twist tower stands at 82-feet tall and send riders through clouds of smoke into the “wolf’s jaws.”
The ride was designed by Merlin Entertainments and is part of a £11.8m investment to improve the park’s infrastructure and services.
Gardaland has created a buzz with Wolf Legend thanks to a captivating marketing campaign, inviting guests to participate in its name reveal and also creating a compelling backstory.
“In time immemorial, a lush, ancient forest was guarded by a pack of wolves, whose task was to protect nature and ensure harmony in the area. Their legendary pack leader, a majestic and wise wolf, inspired confidence and his guidance was like a constellation that illuminated the pack’s path, ensuring the peace and prosperity of the forest.
“But one day, an evil deity decided to take control of the area by casting a dark curse that turned the leader into a giant stone wolf.
“With the spirit of the pack leader petrified and the wolves without a guide, the forest fell into an oppressive silence, interrupted only by the yearning howls of the imprisoned spirit. The curse spread quickly, enveloping everything in darkness.
“But the real test of courage was yet to come. To save the spirit of the pack leader and restore harmony, a hero had to venture into the daring challenge: plunging into the jaws of the giant petrified wolf, braving the danger to free the imprisoned spirit and bring light back into the dark forest.
“Are you ready to defeat the curse?”
