Impact Exhibition Management, the operator of Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre on the outskirts of Bangkok, Thailand, has unveiled plans to develop a new entertainment district on 100,000sq.m of unused land next to its existing facility.

The THB2bn ($55m) development will include a theme park, restaurants, retail options, movie theatres, hotels and a marina.

Speaking to Thai daily The Nation, Impact managing director, Paul Kanjanapas, said: “We think 140,000sq.m of exhibition space is enough, so we have come up with plans to build other facilities in order to make Impact a one-stop venue that meets our customers’ every need and lifestyle.”

Kanjanapas said the new facilities would extend the length of stay of customers to three or four days, as they could spend time at the theme park, shopping or playing golf.
