Working in collaboration with media and entertainment company Entertainment One, owners the Peppa Pig brand, Merlin Entertainments has launched the first Peppa Pig attraction in the United States.

The Peppa Pig World of Play attraction has been opened in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. The roll out of the popular animated pig-themed indoor play centre, follows a successful inauguration of the attraction in Shanghai in October 2018.

The attraction comprises of a 14,000 square-foot standalone and immersive indoor play centre, located in the Grapevine Mills mall. The play site includes a movie theatre for screenings, themed party rooms and areas and facilities for families to relax.

The play centre is designed to encourage physical, social, sensory and creative development in pre-schoolers, through learning-based play.

Mark Fisher, Merlin Group’s chief development officer, commented on the opening, stating:
