Like other Moody Gardens attractions, the new exhibit will be full of wildlife native to the featured habitat. "We’ll have Beluga whales, polar bears, snowy owls, seals, grey wolves and some other animals," said chairman Doug McLeod.

"One of the strongest appeals to this attraction is that these habitats may disappear," said McLeod, who added that the exhibit would also provide resources to how to better protect the environment, as well as a polar bear breeding programme.

Themed to resemble a glacier, the exhibit will be sited between the attraction’s three trademark pyramids.
