The course has a linear layout and incorporates 28 different elements, including the world’s first twin parallel Sky Rail zip lines, which at 34m are also the longest in Europe.

The UK facility, the winner of Norfolk and Suffolk’s Best Large Visitor Attraction 2018, has recently rebranded as Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure. As part of a masive revamp and multi-million-pound investment, the park approach Innovative Leisure. The design brief was for a unique adventure attraction with enough capacity to allow it to be included in the entrance price.

Named Predator High Ropes, this particular course has a single capacity of 50 guests and can cater for up to 200 users per hour. It has four linear paths of elements on the first and second level. The parallel Sky Rail zip lines are fully automated with traffic light systems to assist crew members with the flow of customers. Minimal staffing is therefore required.

“Predator High Ropes was a 24-month project, built within 6 months, and was launched to our visitors on May 26,” notes Roarr! general manager Charles Adam Goymour. “This was a substantial investment for us which amounted to £1 million in total for the project. The finished product looks outstanding and something I am very proud to have worked closely on with Phil Pickersgill at Innovative Leisure who has a great team who supported us professionally from training through to after sales service.”

The ropes course was outlined as part of a 5-year strategic development plan developed for the park together with Vision XS.
