Amid the ongoing success of the Legoland brand around the world, both Legoland California and Legoland Deutschland have started development of two new themed hotels.
Last month, Legoland California broke ground on North America’s first Legoland Castle Hotel. Set to open in spring 2018, the hotel will feature a grand entrance hall and three themed room styles: Knight, Princess and Wizard.
Other unique features to Legoland Castle Hotel will include a slide in the lobby for kids, Lego building stations in each children’s sleeping area, interactive play elements in the expansive courtyard, interactive waterplay features by the pool and a Legoland retail store.
Across the Atlantic, Legoland Deutschland Resort in Günzburg, Germany, is developing the Pirate Island hotel.
The hotel’s 142 rooms will be arranged around a large playground with pirate ship, said the park’s operator, Merlin Entertainments.
