A fresh themed area is to be created for 2019 as Movie Park Germany introduces its latest Nickelodeon brand: Paw Patrol.

As from the spring, families at the park in Bottrop-Kirchhellen will be able to enjoy rides, attractions and adventures featuring the popular TV puppy guard. The new area – named Advenure Bay – will be part of the wider Nick Land kids zone.

Design and storyline have been developed by the Movie Park Germany project team, lead by Wiebe Damstra, in close collaboration with Nickelodeon Experience Design and the Leisure Expert Group from the Netherlands, which worked on the park’s Excalibur project last season. The Spanish company Rocas & Design, responsible for theming of Movie Park’s Lost Temple attraction, is also on board.

Attractions will include a Zamperla Convoy Ride with custom-themed vehicles and a children’s playground with beach-style interactive elements. In addition, the popular family whip ride Swiper’s Sweeper will get a completely new design, remerging as Zuma’s Zoomer. Rounding out the new offering will be regular Paw Patrol meet-and-greet opportunities. Fans of the puppy can also book a special character birthday party.

“Apart from fast-paced rollercoasters and spectacular shows, it’s primarily family attractions that make up Movie Park Germany,” says general manager Thorsten Backhaus. “The Paw Patrol animation series is particularly popular with young visitors. I’m also pleased that we have been able to further expand the co-operation with Nickelodeon and are now able to provide a whole range of activities with this strong licence.”
