Image capture specialist Picsolve recently signed a multi-year deal with Dubai’s Global Village (pictured), in addition to securing a major contract with Merlin Entertainments in Asia.

Picsolve’s ride photography will capture visitors as they enjoy the Global Village’s London Loop rollercoaster and Miami Surf water ride. Roaming photographers will also capture guests in the carnival area and throughout the destination’s many themed pavilions, whilst the company’s green screen technology will feature at the entrance of several other rides and attractions.

Season 23 of the Global Village began on October 30, and will run until April 6. The festival style facility features multiple offerings including themed pavilions dedicated to different countries from around the world, concerts, cultural shows, shopping, international food & beverage and a giant fun fair/amusement area.

Picsolve’s latest contract with Merlin will see it become the sole content capture partner of the company’s new ‘Midway’ attractions in China. Picsolve and Merlin have a long history and share strategic growth ambitions for China. Further cementing that relationship, Merlin will employ Picsolve’s systems to create immersive and interactive environments for visitors at five new destinations: Shanghai Dungeon, Peppa Pig World Shanghai, Legoland Discovery Centre Beijing, Peppa Pig World Beijing and Little Big City Beijing. All attractions will use Picsolve’s green and grey screen technology.

In addition, Picsolve’s patented Experience Wall will be employed at both Madame Tussauds Shanghai and Bangkok. The deal also includes a series of multi-year contract extensions, which will see Picsolve continue to work with six Madame Tussauds attractions, two Sea Life Centres and three Legoland Discovery Centres across Thailand, Japan, China, Korea and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, over in South Korea, Picsolve’s ride photography technology will capture visitors as they race down the 2.2km luge track – as pictured above – at The Eden Valley Ski Resort, which is located in Yangsan. Green screen technology will ensure guests can capture the moment through a choice of printed photography options.
