During 2015, P&P Projects of the Netherlands has delivered various projects for customers around the world.

On the international stage, P&P was responsible for all the scenery of the new Star Wars area at Madame Tussauds in London.

Working closely together with both the Merlin Entertainments Group and IP-holder Disney/Lucasfilm, the company was able to make classic scenes of the beloved franchise come to life.

“From Chewbacca piloting the Millennium Falcon to Luke Skywalker facing Darth Vader in the Death Star’s throne room, guests of Madame Tussauds are now able to re-enact and relive Star Wars’ most famous moments in real-life,” P&P said in its 2015 round-up.

Closer to home, Ouwehands Zoo in the central Netherlands commissioned P&P to realise a complete rebuild of its 1970s Mack Monorail.

During a five-minute journey, guests are now able to take a seat on the 18-seater train and go on exploration with the Jungle Express.

P&P Projects was responsible for the design, engineering and theming of the revamped monorail cars, which also includes a special voiceover together with new sound and light effects.

Looking ahead, P&P is set to enjoy another successful year in 2016, with the company currently working on the creation of an entire themed area and dark ride for Motiongate Dubai.

Due to open in October next year, Motiongate will be part of the larger Dubai Parks and Resorts project and will take visitors into the world of Hollywood films.

“With big entertainment brands from three of Hollywood’s biggest and most successful studios – Sony Pictures, DreamWorks Animation and Lionsgate – guests will be able to meet their favourite characters and relive the movies with the Smurfs, Kung Fu Panda and The Hunger Games, to name only a few,” P&P said.
