The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia, has cut the ribbon on a new, 15,000sq.m museum that features two extensive galleries.

The $14m Worlds of Puppetry Museum, which opened on November 14, was designed and produced by Thinkwell Group, in partnership with the Center for Puppetry Arts.

The Jim Henson Collection gallery is a celebration of the famous puppeteer’s creations. It includes characters from Sesame Street, The Muppets, and Labyrinth.

The Global Collection gallery, meanwhile, features 175 puppets from around the world.

“Thinkwell was tasked with the challenge of creating a space that would appeal to local, national and even global audiences,” said Vincent Anthony, founder of the Center for Puppetry Arts.

“The reality of the designs is even more than we had ever imagined. Thinkwell’s partnership in this process has been and will continue to be an integral part of the museum’s success.”
