Construction of the Qingyuan Chimelong Park in the Guangdong Province, China, has been extended by a year, with completion of the site expected to be completed in 2021.

The Qingyuan Chimelong Park will cover an area of 416,700 sq. mt. and feature seven themed areas, alongside squares, parking lots, housing and other attractions and facilities.

By the end of 2019, the project had had a total investment of 57,898 million yuan (approx. US$70,512).

Su Zhigang, Chairman of Chimelong Group, announced that the Qingyuan Chimeglong Resort will be home to the first breeding and habitat in China for the wild South China Tiger. The site will also feature the world’s highest giraffe-themed castle and an elephant-themed hotel.

The resort will be a world-class tourism complex in Chimelong. A major transportation project connected to the resort is also under construction and expected to be completed in 2021.
