Ten years after celebrating its centenary year, Quassy Amusement & Waterpark will mark its 110th anniversary season with some new waterslides and a commemorative magazine.

Located in Middlebury, Connecticut, the park boasts a storied history. It was one of the original US ‘trolley parks’ – attractions built by trolley (tram/streetcar) companies to encourge use of their services. That heritage and more, including special features on the park’s carousels, coasters and creation of its waterpark, and featured in the anniversary magazine.

The new waterslides for 2018

The 110th season begins on April 28, but guests will have to wait until May 26 (Memorial Day weekend) before the opening of Splash Away Bay and Quassy Beach. When the waterpark opens its gates, visitors will be able to enjoy the new the Category 5 Rapids waterslides. The three-slide complex from ProSlide, with a combined length of more than 1,000ft, represents the largest single investment in the park’s history. The Canadian manufacturer was the vendor for the existing 12 slides at Quassy’s waterpark.

Available to pick up at the park from May 1, the commemorative magazine will be a full colour publication. It will be available free of charge to Quassy guests, however donations to Give Kids The World will be accepted in return.
