The Russian Associate of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA) has shared the conclusion of its highly anticipated 9th International Summer Forum of amusement Industry Specialists.

The event took place in Rostov-on-Don on July 14 to 16, 2021.

More than 180 professionals and specialists from the Russian attraction industry across 52 Russian cities took part in the RAAPA forum. The Ministry of Culture of the Rostov Region and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Rostov Region provided an active role in organising the forum.

The event was sponsored by the Russian company Azov and the RIF Group of companies from Rostov-on-Don were the forum’s partners.

On the day before the forum began, participants had the opportunity to explore the historical quarter of the city on a walking tour. The event started with a welcome address by the general sponsor.

Presentations and talks were held by Yana Pilyavskaya, head of the Department of Culture of the city of Rostov-on-Don, Maria Kuleshova, chief specialist of the MICE Development Center, Agency for Tourism and Business Communications of the Rostov Region, and Elizaveta Rossiyskaya, director for sustainable development projects at Hello IO.

July 15 began with the forum’s traditional sports event, the RAAPA Summer Race, with many female and male runners taking part in the corporate running race.

Seminars were held throughout the day focused on the safe operation of attractions and that investments in the industry can make today to create profit.

The following day participants were acquainted with the history, traditions and customs of the Cossacks during an excursion to the Cossack village of Starocherkasskaya.

The 9th RAPPA Summer Forum was the most populous of RAAPA summer forums and received great reviews from professionals in the attractions industry.
